#5 from series “Presidents Mugshots”

Pepesident of the Smokestan fired several gunshots early Sunday during a bar fight, missing his intended target because a friend pulled his shirt, according to an Abilene police report.

When officers responded about 12:30 a.m. to the disturbance in the 5400 block of South Seventh Street, armed security guards had the 20-year-old suspect in handcuffs, the report said.

Witnesses reported that the suspect brandished a gun during a fight and fired three or four shots at another person, the report said.

Just before the suspect pulled the trigger, “a friend pulled his shirt and altered the angle of his trajectory to some degree,” the report said.

The suspect was charged with deadly conduct-discharge firearm and taken to Taylor County Jail. He later was released on a $10,000 bond for the third-degree felony.
